Rehabilitative Exercise Therapy
Experienced and qualified exercise physiologists will work you with to keep you informed every step of the way and assist you through the various phases of care.
Your treatment plan will vary depending on your injury or condition, and guided by our physicians, our physiologists will work with you to determine what program is right for you.
Rehabilitative exercise therapy involves exercises such as stretching, postural movements, and functional movements to relieve your pain and treat your condition. At the beginning of the program, strengthening activities are limited to avoid making an injury worse or causing more pain.
Your program may include activities such as strengthening, core exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, flexibility, posture enhancement, and speed and agility.
If you’re experiencing symptoms such as swollen joints and stiff muscles, you may benefit from rehabilitative exercise therapy.
Chiropractic Care and Massage Therapy
If you’re suffering from painful neck injuries, back pain, lower back pain, or muscle-related pain, seeking chiropractic care could help relieve this pain and allow you to return to your daily routine and active lifestyle.
Flexion distraction is a chiropractic manipulation that aims to relieve pain in the lower back and hip area. Your physician will use a gentle, controlled, distractive force that stretches the individual spinal segments.
Manual joint manipulation treats pain in the middle back, neck, and upper and lower extremities. Your physician will place his or her hands on an area to allow more movement in the joint.
Low force manipulation provides a gentle chiropractic approach for acute pain, elderly patients, infants and toddlers, or patients dealing with osteoporosis.
Different types of medication can be injected into the body to allow for quick pain relief that can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. These procedures are typically minimally invasive and performed on site.
Supartz knee injections involve a joint fluid therapy containing sodium hyaluronate that’s approved for the treatment of osteoarthritis in the knee. This injection reduces symptoms, rebuilds knee strength, and improves long-term function.
Trigger point injections relieve muscle pain due to muscle tightness, and improves muscle flexibility. Patients typically experience immediate relief.
Joint injections are used to treat conditions that lead to sore, injured, or arthritic joints as well as knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists, sacroiliac, and hip joints. The type of medication injected into the joint depends on the condition.
If you’re dealing with ankle and foot pain, repetitive ankle sprains, or problems such as flat feet or plantar fasciitis, custom orthotics could provide the support you need to improve function. There are various types of custom-made inserts and footwear available depending on your specific needs.
Back and knee injuries can take months to heal. Wearing a custom or semi-custom brace around the affected area may offer more support, protect the area from further injury and allow you to get around easier. Bracing early in care is important so you can carry out your normal activities without causing more damage to the affected area.
